Die Idee, die dem aktuellen Doppelalbum „The Voice of Piano“ der Pianistin Carmen Stefanescu zugrunde liegt, geht zunächst einmal vom Klavier aus. The Voice of Piano, also die „Stimme des Klaviers“, zielt vor allem auf die gesanglichen Qualitäten des Instruments. Es geht aber auch um die vielfältigen Wechselbeziehungen zwischen Singstimme, zwischen Orchester- oder Klavier-Lied und dem Klavier. Auf der Doppel-CD sind die sind die „Lieblingsstücke“ der Künstlerin festgehalten, dabei handelt es sich fast ausschließlich Lied-Transkriptionen von Werken von Komponisten wie Mahler, Rachmaninoff, Jean Sibelius oder Richard Strauss.

The idea behind the current double album ‘The Voice of Piano’ by pianist Carmen Stefanescu starts with the piano. The Voice of Piano, i.e. the ‘voice of the piano’, focuses primarily on the vocal qualities of the instrument. But it is also about the diverse interrelationships between the singing voice, between the orchestral or piano song and the piano. The double CD contains the artist’s ‘favourite pieces’, which are almost exclusively song transcriptions of works by composers such as Mahler, Rachmaninoff, Jean Sibelius and Richard Strauss.
