Göttinger Symphonieorchester/Nicholas Milton, Sergey Mikhaylenko – New Worlds: Dvorak – Symphony No. 9, Dorman – Frozen in Time CD

Conductor Nicholas Milton and the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra have selected an interesting programme for their new album: Antonin Dvorak’s well-known 9th Symphony ‘From the New World’ is combined with the orchestral work ‘Frozen in Time’ by Avner Dorman. This unusual combination results in an exciting musical journey that challenges the orchestra to present a broad spectrum of styles and techniques and to open up a ‘new world’ of sound colours and rhythms for itself and the audience.
